E-Signature Validity Notice (ESIGN / UETA)

Electronic signatures are generally enforceable under the federal ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA). However, certain grant documents may require wet (ink) signatures — including some federal forms, notarized documents, or documents where the funder explicitly requires original signatures. Always verify your funder's requirements before using e-signatures.
