1

Identification of the copyrighted work

Identify the copyrighted work(s) you claim have been infringed. If multiple works at a single online site are covered by a single notice, provide a representative list. Include any copyright registration numbers if applicable.

2

Identification of the infringing material

Provide the specific URL(s) on Grant Search US where the allegedly infringing material is located with sufficient detail to permit us to locate the material. General descriptions without URLs will not be sufficient.

3

Your contact information

Provide your full legal name, complete mailing address, telephone number, and email address. We must be able to contact you to process the notice.

4

Good faith belief statement

A statement: "I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."

5

Accuracy and authority statement (under penalty of perjury)

A statement: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."

6

Physical or electronic signature

The physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf. Typing your full legal name constitutes a valid electronic signature under the E-SIGN Act.

Preferred Format: Email your complete notice to support@grantsearchus.com with subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice — [Your Name]." Include all required elements in the body of your email. Attachments are acceptable for supporting documentation.
Counter-Notice Requirements (17 U.S.C. § 512(g))

If you believe your content was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our designated agent. A valid counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) must include:

Your physical or electronic signature (full legal name).
Identification of the material that has been removed and its location before removal (provide the specific URL(s)).
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or the Central District of California if your address is outside the U.S.), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice.
Counter-Notice Timing: Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will notify the original complainant and may restore the removed material within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files an action in federal court seeking a court order to restrain the alleged infringement.
Important DMCA Warnings

False Claims — Perjury Liability: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that material was removed by mistake or misidentification — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Courts have awarded significant sanctions against abusive DMCA claimants.

Repeat Infringer Policy: Grant Search US has adopted and reasonably implemented a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers, as required for DMCA safe harbor protection under 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(1)(A).

No Review of Copyright Merits: By removing material pursuant to a DMCA notice, Grant Search US does not admit that any infringement has occurred and does not waive any rights or defenses.

Standard Technical Measures: Grant Search US accommodates and does not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect their copyrighted works, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(1)(B).

Our Response Process

1. Receipt & Acknowledgment

We acknowledge receipt of your DMCA notice within 2 business days and verify it contains all required elements under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).

2. Completeness Review

If the notice is incomplete, we will inform you of the deficiencies. Incomplete notices will not trigger removal.

3. Removal Action

If the notice is valid and complete, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content within 10 business days.

4. User Notification

We will notify the affected user that their content has been removed and provide them a copy of the DMCA notice (with personal contact information redacted where appropriate).

5. Counter-Notice Period

The affected user has 10–14 business days to submit a counter-notice. If a valid counter-notice is received and the original complainant does not file a court action, we may restore the content.

Each valid DMCA notice is logged. Users with multiple valid notices against them may have their accounts reviewed for suspension or termination under our repeat infringer policy.
